Welcome to the Service Department at Aquatic World. I’m Doug and that means I’m your Service Manager. Ask anyone here at the shop and they will say that with me, it’s all about you, our customer. I’ve been diving for a few years and became one of those who turned their hobby into a passion. Do I enjoy what I do here at Aquatic World? That’s a bit of an odd question. Who wouldn’t love doing what I do.
Our customers are the best and I’m working with some of the most knowledgeable Service Tech’s in Central New York. We truly do have the quality and staff to keep your dive gear in like new condition and adventure ready.
We strive to complete your service quickly, but take the time to do it right. So here are few thoughts about your dive gear.
First, your gear came with a manufacturer warranty program, meaning it needs an annual service. When you follow this annual program you help keep me from having to tell you, “It’s going to take longer and cost you more”. Bringing your gear in past the annual service date will drop you from its warranty program. Not a good thing.
Secondly, I know many of our divers purchased new gear during the summer months and don’t want to miss the dive season just to bring it in for the Annual Service. It’s ok to bring it in early - during the off season, November through April, you still maintain your warranty. Then continue each year on your new schedule. This will also assure that you won't miss a dive during our New York dive season or have an equipment malfunction during one of our many Dive Travel Vacations. This is a good thing.
With equipment ready, your adventures planned, it's time to hit the water.
