PADI Advanced Open Water
Why take the PADI Advanced class?

The best way to gain experience and keep diving after your Open Water Certification is by taking the PADI Advanced Open Water Course. This course involves taking 5 dives which focus on specific skills and adventures. After your dives, you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you better nderstand the underwater environment.
Course Format

The Advanced Open Water consists of one or two classroom session (depending on topics chosen),
one pool session (optional) and five dives during the weekend of the class.

Course Highlights

The dives consist of two core dives: Navigation and Deep. Three elective dives will need to be completed and can consist of Boat, Drift , Dry Suit , Search & Recovery, Night, Underwater Photography, Multilevel Dive, Wreck, Peak Performance Buoyancy. The elective dives are customized to the student's desires and location of dives and are discussed in class. All electives chosen are at the discretion of the instructor.

Prerequisites
You will need to have obtained a PADI Open Water Diver certification or a qualifying certification from another organization and be at least 15 years old or 12 years to enroll in the PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver course.
Required Equipment and Materials

Adventures In Diving Pak - MultimediaStudents are responsible for providing a complete SCUBA equipment package including mask, fins, snorkel, boots, appropriate exposure protection, (students wishing to use dry suits must show proof of dry suit certification or they may elect to use Aquatic World’s dry suit option for the course), hood, mitts or gloves, BCD with LPI , regulator with octopus or alternate air source (not a "Spare air"), SPG, depth gauge, timer or watch, compass, weight system, knife, whistle, RDP and log book. Note: some of the very basic equipment items may be available for rental; however items such as masks, fins, snorkels, timers, knives, and whistles must be purchased.
