Prerequisites
To become a Master Scuba Diver you must log 50 dives and complete the following courses:
Open Water Diver
Advanced Open Water Diver
Rescue Diver
Five Specialty Diver courses
Required Equipment and Materials
We are going to try and make it easier and more cost effective to reach for the top of your sport -- the diver level unrivaled in the recreational ranks: Master Scuba Diver. With this certification in hand, you will have reached the highest recreational diver accomplished in diver education. PADI calls it the Black Belt of scuba diving.
The Master Scuba Diver rating denotes superior achievement and proficiency in dive skills, experience and underwater activities.
To put yourself on top and reach the Master Scuba Diver level, you need to be at least 12 years of age and complete Open Water Diver or equivalent, Advanced Open Water Diver, Rescue Diver, and any five Specialty Diver certifications. Or, if you are a Dive-master, or Assistant Instructor, complete any five specialty ratings.
