Dry suit diving is the perfect answer. Dry suit diving presents some specific challenges, however it is an option for all Open Water certified divers who seek quality training and wish to stay warmer while in our cooler waters. To answer the need for this training, Aquatic World offers the PADI Dry Suit Course, an exciting program taught by our qualified staff. Our course thoroughly covers dry suit diving techniques, emphasizing safety and emergency procedures.

Course Format
The program consists of one classroom session and a pool orientation session. Certification is completed by completing two open water training dives.
Course Highlights

PADI Dry Suit Diver Basic thermal considerations and how you get cold underwater and cold water physiology. A wetsuit or dry suit for your diving? Comparison of exposure suit options, advantages and disadvantages of each. Dry suit construction, types of dry suits, zippers and material. Types of seals and valves. Insulation and undergarments. Hoods, collars, dry gloves. Care, maintenance, storage, packing and repair. Hazards, emergencies and how to cope underwater. During the pool session you will learn dry suit donning procedures, preparing to dive, equipment evaluation and buoyancy check. Open water skills in dry suits. Descents, ascents equipment familiarization. Emergency procedures for dry suit diving. Assisting your dive partner.

Prerequisites
PADI Open Water Certification or equivalent. Minimum age 10.
Required Equipment and Materials

PADI Dry Suit DiverYour PADI Dry suit Specialty Instructor will provide you with all classroom, pool and open water training material. The use of a dry suit and undergarments are included with the course. Students are responsible for providing a complete SCUBA equipment package including mask, fins, snorkel, boots, hood, mitts or gloves, BCD with LPI , regulator with octopus or alternate air source (not a "Spare air"), SPG, depth gauge, timer or watch, compass, weight system, knife, whistle, RDP and log book. Note: some of the very basic equipment items may be available for rental; however items such as masks, fins, snorkels, timers, knives, and whistles must be purchased.
